By participating in an orientation, you can: learn well-nigh student support services and resources wilt familiar with policies and procedures reap knowledge and entry-level proficiency in select wonk and personal success skills learn well-nigh what to expect at UMA and what UMA expects of you know whom to contact to ask questions and express concerns Orientation is for ALL students new to UMA, whether they are: returning adults, transfer students, or recent upper school graduates; peekaboo on campus or peekaboo at centers, sites, or via technology; and, in stratum programs or just taking a class. Orientations are offered on-site at all of UMA’s locations, including both campuses and most UMA centers (Brunswick, Ellsworth, Lewiston, Rockland, Rumford, Saco, and South Paris), as well as in an online format.  Students are invited to wits all orientation options; however, they are expected to well-constructed the online orientation format.  Be sure to click on the tabs listed whilom to wangle detailed information for each orientation. In addition, specialized orientation programs for students in the tracery or nursing programs are offered. Students should contact the College of Arts and Sciences for information on the tracery orientation and the College of Professional Studies for information on the nursing orientation.  Those students taking a matriculation online are encouraged to moreover view UMAWonkLogistics’ “Success in Online Learning” program. Notification of upcoming on-site orientations is mailed approximately three weeks surpassing classes start to all students new to UMA.
